Wafer Paper Open Ranunculus
You are purchasing the recordings from a two-part livestream tutorial that took place on November 9 - 10, 2024.
The recordings have been added to the private Facebook group, and are available for viewing. We have also added timestamps to the recordings to make it easier to find the information you are looking for throughout the lessons.
Create beautiful open-style ranunculus flowers in wafer paper!
With their dark, visible centers and delicate cupped petals, ranunculus flowers are a great addition to your Spring floral repertoire, and a favorite for many brides. They are easily tucked in between larger flowers as fillers, and can be bunched together to create a pop of color in an arrangement. They are also wonderful on their own - use their long stems to create a beautiful, organic feel to your cake designs.
This version is also easier and quicker to make than our classic ranunculus, so it’s a great tutorial to try if you are new to making flowers with wafer paper, or are looking for some flowers that look great even when you have limited time.
This 2-part tutorial includes how to:
Make the ranunculus center with gumpaste (please note if you are a wafer paper purist)
How to color wafer paper petals
How to shape wafer paper petals
Assembling and attaching petals to create a beautiful ranunculus flower shape
Create and attach the calyx
Create ranunculus leaves
Finishing techniques for the ranunculus stem
Supply list + templates
BONUS: additional petal templates you can use to expand your open ranunculus repertoire, and I’ll show you an example of how to use them!
